The fuel market currently faces challenges, including large quantities handled daily, fluctuating prices and the requirement to comply with the accuracy and reliability of measurements taken during handling, purchase and sale of petroleum products.
METRON S.A. as a company specialized in measurement of liquid and gas fuels has responded to these market demands by building a standard calibration laboratory the measuring equipment for liquid fuels, at its premises in Magoula Attikis.
Evaluation of the laboratory calibration of measuring devices for liquid fuels made from the Greek national accreditation system.
The laboratory operates under the reference standard ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025 and calibration procedures followed the measuring equipment is in full compliance with API MPMS standard governing the oil sector.
In the evaluation process the Calibration Laboratory participated in the most recognized laboratories, such as the NMI (Netherlands Metrology Institute) and EIM (Greek Institute of Metrology), a collaborative control regimens the measuring equipment with great success.
The main measurement standards used by the laboratory are:
· Volumetric containers from 5 to 5000 liters
· Standard reference meter (master meters) sizes up to 10 inches
· Calibrators bidirectional (bidirectional ball prover) liquid fuels
· Pressure gauges, temperature and humidity.
· Electronic controllers managing loading liquid fuels
